FAQs on Remote Viewing Course: Reactions & Differences

Frequently Asked Questions on the Academy of Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing Course

(Answers by Gerald O’Donnell)
Activate Your Mind Powers, Remove Your Fears

Q: I am training with the RV course and keep on falling asleep while listening to the CDs. No matter what time of the day it is, I seem to lose consciousness after a while. What should I do? How do I know when I am in deep Theta?

A: Welcome to the club! You are just doing great! Since you do not seem to have access, for now, to a EEG biofeedback apparatus that would tell you when you reach the deep Theta state, you can securely rely on certain typical characteristics of the deep Theta state.

First and foremost, when you approach the very powerful Delta state, your mind tends to be sucked in (into unconsciousness: alias sleep): very strongly so. This is why you tend to easily lose sense of self and go into what you perceive to be non-consciousness. In reality, you vegetate mostly (unless you are really very tired) at upper Delta and your subconscious mind: below conscious awareness, absorbs every word and notion of the material told to you. A proof of the pudding is that when you are told to emerge from that state, even if you are perceptually asleep, you usually open your eyes. Were you to be told to remember everything that happened at that level after opening your eyes, you would. This is however for more advanced courses where upper Delta is eventually explored with partial awareness of self. At the level of Oneness.

Another sign of being at deep Theta is that your conscious mind becomes very sluggish, your focus of attention gets very wide and non-specific, and you are alike a passive spectator watching unconnected (non-linear) thoughts and images flashing by seemingly without any control on your part. Our learned academic thought specialists like to coin this state: the hypnagogic state. This is because Delta (the matrix as US RV’ers like to call it) operates for us by forming connections that seem coherent to us. Delta is, at Its level, out of the constraints of Time and Space. For a very good reason: IT CREATES TIME AND SPACE FOR OUR LINEAR SLOW PACED DEDUCTIVE THINKING REALITY WHICH UNFOLDS THEN FOR US IN A PERCEIVED LOGICAL CAUSE-AND-EFFECT MANNER (Which means really nothing in the absolute sense of it, only in the relative one when framed with the laws of nature).

This is why, if you want to operate at deep Theta using the very structured protocols set up by the US intelligence and military community, you will have a hard time at it. When one reaches deep Theta you usually forget what you came there for, feel very good and relaxed, and at best can only remember one or at the maximum two questions. Your conscious thoughts are almost annihilated which allows for pure information to be received from the Universal Matrix (DELTA). To try to remember complex and multiple questions is impossible. This is not to say that we do not believe in structuring carefully question-and-answer sessions (protocols), as we will see shortly.

Now, are there tricks to remain longer in deep Theta without either sinking in Delta (sleep) or re-emerging in beta? Yes, there are many of them and they are explained and given to out trainees as they request them. With practice one remains for longer and longer periods at deep Theta. The door to Delta opens wider and wider, and the sub-conscious surfaces onto the conscious awareness of the individual. You then become extremely intuitive about others and about the probable futures.

Q: What differentiates our R.V. training from other R.V. schools?

  1. The Academy of Remote Viewing was the first RV site (Dec. 96) ever to explain remote viewing mechanisms in details, to mention the location of the Universal Matrix within the Delta level of mind, and to put great emphasis on attaining the deep Theta state (4-5 cps) to reach the “interface point”.
  2. We position ourselves directly at the interface (deep Theta) with the Information Matrix (Delta) and use mental perceptions to collect R.V. information. No intervening transducing “gimmick” using the Autonomous Nervous System (such as pendulum, ideomotor responses, dowsing, automatic writing etc… ) is required.
  3. Our methodology only requires a passive natural state of extreme mental receptivity automatically achieved by being at deep Theta. Its attainment is a relatively simple procedure.
  4. Very little rate of interference by the conscious analytical mind since at very deep Theta active conscious thoughts are very sluggish and almost inexistent.

Love, Passion & Giving at Spiritual Cinema Circle

What will it take to change the world? First, we must begin by changing ourselves. For many of us, becoming a loving, passionate, giving human being is high on our list of what we value.

What if you could spend a few hours watching movies that would not only help you make sense of things but also make you feel better about being a human being?

Where you touched by films such as Gandhi, Rain Man, Pay It Forward, Philadelphia, Schindler’s List, Conversations with God or Forrest Gump?

These films taught us about compassion, non-judgment and tolerance, qualities most of us would agree are necessary to healing ourselves, and the planet. Well, I’m excited to tell you that our friends at Spiritual Cinema Circle have put together a collection of films that do exactly that.

In a rare interview, LOUISE HAY, reminds us that a successful life “boils down to choosing the thoughts you think and choosing the thoughts you want, and when you can be wise in both areas, you have perfect health because the body knows how to take care of itself.”

In the out-of-this-world transformational comedy, THE GIFT, we meet two beings from a distant world, who have journeyed back to earth with a mission: to help human beings learn how to reach maximum potential.

With religious conflict simmering around the world and misconceptions about faith fueling ignorance and intolerance, the feature film OCEAN OF PEARLS reminds us that regardless of the color of our skin or the god we worship, it’s essential that we retain our values, even when living in a culture that doesn’t necessarily embrace them.

You can receive all of these films for FREE by signing up for a free trial (you pay a small shipping fee) with Spiritual Cinema Circle, the only DVD service dedicated to movies about love and compassion.

Ecotones Adaptive Sound Sleep Therapy Machine

Novelties

A Sound Machine That Stays Alert While You’re Asleep

The Ecotones sound machine, left, senses when garbage trucks rumble by. Devices made by Fitbit, center, and Philips Respironics can measure sleep habits.

ONCE people drifted off to sleep with the aid of warm milk and a bit of sheep counting. These days, they may also get some bedtime help from a clever microprocessor.

A new tabletop machine from Adaptive Sound Technologies uses its algorithms to create soothing bedside sounds. Sound machines have existed for years, but the machine, Ecotones Adaptive Sound Therapy ($299), adds a new, responsive twist: when the soundtrack is running and it senses a disruption to bedroom quiet, it responds immediately with additional cloaking sounds.

Set the dial to ocean sounds, for example, and it produces the sounds of continuous rolling waves, fog horns and the calls of sea gulls. But if a truck suddenly rumbles by outside the bedroom, the machine detects the racket and masks it by producing an extra crashing wave or two.

Ecotones has a library of sounds with which to do its spontaneous camouflaging, from babbling brooks to cricket chirps to fireside crackling, said Sam Nicolino Jr., chief executive of the company, based in Campbell, Calif. The mike built into the unit detects ambient sound in the room; within a tenth of a second the software has selected an appropriate masking noise, and possibly raised the soundtrack, to attenuate the effects of disrupting sounds.

“We trick the ear into thinking it is listening to something pleasant,” said Mr. Nicolino, an electrical engineer, amateur musician and audio bug, who created the device when a freeway was built near his home and he realized that he could mask its roar with the sounds of ocean waves.

Mary Beth Usinowicz, a data coordinator for a pharmaceutical firm who lives in San Francisco, uses her Ecotones not to get to sleep initially, but to help her drift back to sleep after she awakens during the night. “I wake up, usually at 3 a.m.,” she said. “I hear the trains passing, the wind, the dog snoring.”

Ms. Usinowicz said the machine was helpful in returning to sleep. “The beach sounds work for me,” she said. “I wake up, listen, and go back to sleep again.” She also uses the machine on the weekends when she’s working at home. “If there’s noise in the other room,” she said, the machine makes a difference, masking it “just enough to keep me from focusing on the distraction.”

David N. Neubauer, an associate director of the Johns Hopkins Sleep Disorders Center in Baltimore, said machines that create comforting background noise can be useful. “They can be beneficial to sleep,” he said, in part by blocking outside noises like traffic, and inside noises like plumbing. “And there’s something fundamentally soothing about background noise,” he said. “When it’s totally quiet, people who have trouble getting to sleep focus more intently on small noises,” and this undermines their ability to sleep.

Jay Littlefield, director of product management at Adaptive Sound Technologies, estimated that about 90 percent of customers were buying Ecotones for their bedrooms. “The remainder are using them to mask noise in the office or living room,” he said.

How Meditation Improves Health Using Brainwave Entrainment

Transcendental Meditation helped heart disease patients lower cardiac disease risks by 50 percent

Patients with coronary heart disease who practiced the stress-reducing Transcendental Meditation technique had nearly 50 percent lower rates of heart attack, stroke, and death compared to nonmeditating controls, according to the results of a first-ever study presented during the annual meeting of the American Heart Association in Orlando, Fla., on Nov.16, 2009. The intention within Transcendental Meditation (TM) is to accomplish certain esoteric feats. TM techniques are designed to be stressful because they are meant for the personal growth of the practitioner. If borderline senior heart patients on a regular drug regimen can gain health benefits from just a few TM techniques, then imagine what a truly discipline regimen of meditation can do for you.

In essence, meditation is a general term that has many different applications. It’s an activity where the participant quiets the mind and flows with the infinite mysteries of the universe in an attempt to reach a higher state of enlightenment.

Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Jainism, and Taoism are just a few of the religions that practice meditation, but non-religious applications are practiced worldwide as well.

Let’s take a look at how to achieve optimum results using meditation.

Remote Viewing 101 for Increasing Your Learning Potential

I’ve been going through this “CIA Remote Viewing” manual lately; it’s entitled “The Controlled Remote Viewing Manual” wherein following a structured environment is key to success in Remote View (RV).

From what I gather, this is an instructor’s manual that was thrown together by two successful Remote Viewers, Paul Smith and Lyn Buchanan and their resources (who they refuse to name). This manual has a number of links and references for our further studies, but it is self contained, easy to understand, and defines the parameters necessary for successful RV.

What may make kids and adults alike happy about this manual is the way a learning environment should be structured for optimum results. The following is a passage from a discussion from page 26:

Learning theory for RV methodology is governed by the idea that the student should “quit on a high point.” Traditionally, the learning of a skill concentrates on rote repetition, reiterating the skill a large number of times until it is consistently performed correctly.

Recent developments in learning theory which have been applied with particular success in sports training methodology indicate that the rote repetition concept tends more to reinforce incorrect performance as opposed to developing the proper behavior or skill.

Much success has been realized by implementing the concept of “quitting on a high point.” that is when a skill or behavior has been executed correctly taking an extended break from the training at that point allows the learning process to “remember” the correct behavior by strengthening the neurological relays that have been established in the brain by the correct procedure.

The phenomenon of overtraining is a very real danger in the training cycle, generally brought about by pushing ahead with training until the learning system of the viewer is totally saturated and cannot absorb any more. This results in system collapse, which in effect is a total failure to function psychically at all…

Do you know what this means? It means that piling mounds of homework on kids is completely the wrong approach to their learning process. Drilling kids again and again on the same concept after they’ve correctly learned the skill takes them in the wrong direction.

This concept applies ALL subject matter, not only RV. The concept of “quitting on a high point” to relax and allow those successful neural patterns to take hold may be the key difference in the way kids are taught in more learned countries like India or Japan as opposed to the zombification of kids through rote overtraining in countries where kids are not as smart.

Therefore, the key to learning RV or any other skill successfully is to take a well deserved break after successfully learning a new skill or concept.

For this reason alone, “The Controlled Remote Viewing Manual” is the most significant text of it’s kind; it’s only 98 pages, but it easily knocks out any other teacher’s manual with the concept of “resting on a high note” alone.

Please download “The Controlled Remote Viewing Manual” for your own viewing pleasure.  The only further recommendation I can make outside of this manual is achieving the correct state of consciousness. This is why Paul Smith and Lyn Buchanan are offering their services for personal instruction through this manual.

The other option is a home study course in the form of audio instruction with brainwave entrainment. The best one that does this is by Gerald O’Donnell in his Remote Viewing Course offered through the Academy of Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing; his instruction if quite detailed, easy to follow and very similar to learning QiGong, but with the bonus of learning RV.
