How Positive Control is Good for Your Life

Stress disrupts human thinking, but the brain can bounce back

January 28, 2009

A new neuroimaging study on stressed-out students suggests that male humans, like male rats, don’t do their most agile thinking under stress. The findings, published this month in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, show that 20 male M.D. candidates in the middle of preparing for their board exams had a harder time shifting their attention from one task to another than other healthy young men who were not under the gun.

Previous experiments had found that stressed rats foraging for food had similar impairments and that those problems resulted from stress-induced changes in their brain anatomy. The new study, using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to scan the stressed students’ brains, is a robust example of how basic research in an animal model can lead to high-tech investigations of the human brain.

“It’s a great translational story,” says Bruce S. McEwen, head of the Harold and Margaret Milliken Hatch Laboratory of Neuroendocrinology at The Rockefeller University, who worked on the project with colleagues at Weill Cornell Medical College. “The research in the rats led to the imaging work on people, and the results matched up remarkably well.”

The work holds good news too, for both rats and humans: Their brains recuperate quickly. Less than a month after the stress goes away, they are back to normal. “The message is that healthy brains are remarkably resilient and plastic,” McEwen says.

To probe the effects of stress, the researchers scanned the brains of volunteers, some stressed and others relatively relaxed, performing two subtly different kinds of mental tasks, either an attention-shift or a response-reversal. Lying inside the scanner, the subjects looked at two discs: one red and one green, with one moving up and the other down. In a series of trials, they were prompted to choose a disc according to motion or color. By ordering when the subjects did which tasks, they challenged their volunteers’ brains to either switch focus from color to motion, or to suddenly reverse their choice of a disc in the same category.

“It’s like the old story about the American crossing the road in England,” says Conor Liston, an M.D.-Ph.D. student at Rockefeller and Cornell, who led the research. A response-reversal requires the brain to override the habitual impulse to first look left instead of right for oncoming cars. An American in Venice might require an attention-shift, by contrast, to seek out boats instead of evading cars.

In earlier research on rats, neuroscientists found that these two tasks place demands on different circuits in the brain, and the circuits are affected in different ways by stress. In particular, collaborative work by McEwen and John Morrison at Mount Sinai Medical Center have shown that repeated stress on rats shriveled nerve cells of the medial prefrontal cortex, and that a shrunken prefrontal cortex is linked to slower performance on attention-shifting tasks.

In those experiments, rats learned to dig through a certain texture, like sawdust, in the presence of an irrelevant odor to find food; then the researchers made odor, rather than texture, the clue for finding the food and measured how long it took the rats to switch their foraging strategies. But while the restricted prefrontal cortex – a larger version of which is thought to play a role in the “executive function” in humans – slowed the rats’ performance on attention-shifts, it did not change their performance on response-reversal tasks. In fact, neurons in a different part of the brain thought to be involved in response-reversals, the orbital frontal cortex, actually grew larger from the stress.

The new research suggests that something very similar may happen to distressed humans. Liston, working with B.J. Casey at the Sackler Institute at Weill Cornell, used fMRI to explore his hunch that the brains of rats and men have some basic processes in common – that stress would also impair performance on attention-shifting tasks and diminish activity in the medial prefrontal cortex.

He found that male med students who said they were stressed out one month before they were to take their boards fared much worse on attention-shifting tasks than similar healthy adults who claimed to be taking it easy. The high stress levels, gauged by an established measure called the perceived stress scale, were also tightly associated with diminished activity in the prefrontal cortex. But their performance on response-reversals was unimpaired. Finally, as was found in the rats, when Liston scanned the students again one month after the test, he discovered that their attention-shifting performance had returned to normal along with their brains.

The uncanny similarities surprised even the researchers. “I certainly don’t want to say that rat brains are just like human brains,” Liston says. “But it does show that you can use research in animal models to help interpret human neuroimaging results.”

Liston plans to next explore how stress impacts the rest of the brain. He also wants to investigate whether or not there are differences in how the brains of men and women respond to stress. “Stress is doing a whole lot of things in your brain that we don’t understand yet, but we know that it is intimately involved in a wide range of neuropsychiatric disorders,” Liston says. A mechanistic understanding of stress could lead to insights into associated psychiatric problems, he says.

Positive Psychology

A brief introduction of the most popular class at Harvard: Positive Psychology science about human happiness and florishing. This is an interesting trend. Not only at Harvard. Everyone in this world are caught in the gloom of the presiding social mood and they want happiness instead. I guess Tal ben Shahar is teaching people that happiness is a state of mind and to not only count your blessings, but focus on them:

I believe the people at Harvard are like everyone else: They are under stress and they want to relieve the stress. Intrinsically, everyone knows that stress debilitates cognitive brain functions. You don’t have to be a neuropsychologist to know this.Sure, stress is OK for flight or fight situations, but we don’t need stress when learning academic functions. Understandably, there are career functions where people are under constant stress. This is a bad thing, because stressful people don’t have much empathy for the people around them. They don’t care much about their health, neither do they care much about the health of people around them. For this reason, we need to focus on the positives of our studies, our careers, and our business. We need to focus on our blessings, so we can bring forth more blessings. Focus on your power of attraction for blessings and you bring more blessings into your life.

Even better, let’s be like the karateist who focuses beyond the target. What is really the source of our stress and unhappiness?

Lack of Control

When we have lack of control of anything, we become stressed and unhappy. When we have trouble learning a new subject, we get stressed. When we have deadlines to meet, we get stressed. When we have to impress someone, we get stressed. When we have performance issues, we get stressed.

Now, I could spout off a bunch of platitudes and hyperbole like an old Chinese Proverb, “Control your emotions or they will control you.” or some old Christian saying like, “thanks for the patience for what I can’t change,” but I’m not like that.

You see, I’m a guy who’s all about change. I’m also all about control. I want you to be able to change yourself into whatever or whomever you want and I want you to have control over your own life. I want you to have something I call positive control.

If people are willing to pay a few hundred for a class just to learn how to be happy, would you be willing to pay a few hundred to learn how to have positive control over your own life?

To me, this is what Gerald O’Donnell of the Academy of Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing is helping people to do: To have positive control over their own lives.

When you try the free mp3 downloads, you will discover a source of happiness. That source of happiness is YOU. All Gerald is doing is guiding you to your true self through guided meditation. You have your choice: You can learn Remote View, Remote Influencing, or both for a reduced priced.

We’re talking about a price that’s probably less than Tal ben Shahar’s Positive Psychology class and Harvard. You don’t have to adjust your schedule. You listen to the CD’s and do the exercises when you have time, so you don’t have to put aside time out of your busy schedule to learn how to be happy.

What you will do is use your usual down time to your advantage. There is no stress when taking a course from Academy of Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing. What you will feel is expansion of your body and expansion of your senses, further and further.

Some people say we are cheating by using remote viewing and remote influencing because you can see answers to questions that others can’t and influence people at a distance who can help you in your life. Fine. Those people don’t have to know You’re using it. No one has to know but You.

You can fool them by saying that you are only using Emotional Freedom Techniques. EFT looks very clandestine with all that tapping and talking, anyway. Just tell them it’s another form of energy psychology.

fMRI Neuroscience Advances in Mind Reading Scans

According to Dr. Marcel Just from neuroscience dept. of Carnegie Mellon University, in a matter of three to five years, neuroscience research into how we think and what we’re thinking (thought identification) will allow mobile mind reading using portable equipment. For now, here is a video on how functional magnetic resonance imaging combined with computer analysis of neural activity allows identification of thoughts:

Since none of us have our neural patterns firing exactly the same way during the same thought, the computer analysis is using fuzzy logic interpolation, just like the human mind. Well, it was programmed by human minds, so why not?According to Dr. Paul Woolpey Director of Center of Ethics, Emory University, “There is no more science fiction. All the science fiction I read in high school, we’re doing… The 5th amendment only protects us from testifying against ourselves, but what about a brain scan?..”

The only ethical problem therein is the standardisation and subsequent (computer analysed) interpretation of thought patterns. Can we apply the same standardised fuzzy logic from one person to another when it comes to more complex thought patterns?

Guilt & Depression: Head Knowledge vs. Heart Knowledge

Psychoneuroimmunology, Laughter as Medicine

Research scientists have spent considerable time investigating the effects of laughter. They have found that laughter can help patients recover from illnesses because it tends to lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormone levels, and recharges the body’s immune system. Laughter is also known to release a body’s natural painkilling substances to provide an overall feeling of well-being. This is a result of stimulating blood flow and aiding the heart.

It has been said that laughter has about the same benefits as aerobic exercise, but it comes without the pain sometimes experienced with physical exercise. Laughter also helps to control insulin levels and blood sugars, and while scientists don’t recommend that patients quit their diets or exercise regimens, they do say that laughing definitely helps. Doctors have discovered that laughter also has an effect on viruses, bacteria, cancer and heart disease. They determined that their patients boosted their immune systems just by watching funny videos and movies.

Laughter is one of the first things we learn as babies. Scientists note that babies who smile the quickest were smiled at more in general. If parents are happy and smiling, it is a given that the baby is likely to smile quickly as well. Much research on children has been performed, and scientists discovered that laughter helped with children’s ability to endure pain and was also effective in the healing process. This is a valuable discovery for young cancer patients. Laughing relaxed patients who had to have painful procedures or who suffered from the anxiety of pain expectation.

Researchers have found that there are many positive effects from laughter, but no known negative effects (except side splitting). Laughter really is the best medicine. Just thinking about something funny makes the hormones flow, and the body has a positive and healthy response.

Experiencing stress without laughter reduces the ability of the body to fight disease because it suppresses the immune system. A stressed body can’t fight infections and other disorders. Your body responds to emotions and feelings, so it’s good to laugh and release all the positive effects related to laughter. Basically, the immune system is closely linked to the positives resulting from laughter. Laughing helps to fight disease.

Stress levels can be reduced through daily exercise and having good eating habits, and when laughter is added, things get even better. People who laugh a lot have reduced stress levels, and reducing stress is a major step in fighting disease.

Some of you who read may be thinking, “I’m not a Mormon who’s secretly depressed through all the fake happiness. I’m not into those Far East Indian laughter therapy groups where you fake it ’til you make it. How can I possibly laugh when I feel guilty and depressed?”

Wow, that’s a good question. My question to you would be “how did you get guilty and depressed?” “Where did the negative vibes come from?” If you’re reading this, then I’m betting that you are someone you know suffers from depression, perhaps, brought on by guilt.

Now, I can intellectualise all day like laughter helps release endorphines which help you deal with physical/emotional pain. The problem is if you feel guilty, then you probably feel you don’t deserve to laugh. “What good is it to laugh if laughter is only going to make me feel more guilty?” Did I hit the nail on the head?

Let’s assume that you’re here to deal with this problem, not to just read about it and justify an existence of depression and guilt. Let’s assume for the moment that you’re reaching out, that you want to know how to deal with this problem.

The first thing we do is reach out to try and find someone is experiencing something similar to you or whoever has the problem. We want to find out how someone else dealt with guilt and depression. In essence, we prefer to find the heart knowledge as it applies to us personally rather than some head knowledge where a person is vying for the grade in his psychology class.

Tell me if I’m wrong, but history tells us that no amount of psychoanalysis cures a problem. No amount of psychotropic / neuroleptic drugs “cures” a psychological ailment. What we want is to identify with others who had the same experience and found their way how to healthier, satisfying life.

More importantly, we want to deal with the problem NOW, not five years from now or even five months from now, but NOW. What kind of cure exists NOW that we can use at this very moment? Please have a look at the following. Please click the title that comes closest to what you may be experiencing:

It’s possible that one or more of these apply to you. There are many more case histories / herstories of guilt and depression at the EFT site. EFT is a form of energy psychology wherein you talk out your difficulties while tapping shotgun points within your energy meridian system. It’s already worked for lots of people as you see the the video below.

From a personal standpoint, I’ve had to deal with death many times over with friends and family. I guess my personal perspective is optimistic rather than fatalistic. You see, I believe in people to do the right thing which is why I put up these posts at this blog.

I’m hoping that you do the right thing for yourself by going forward in your life. Someday you can laugh and learn that your laughter serves not only you, but the people around you. When you go forward, so do the people closest to you. If you care about the people around you, you take this knowledge to heart and go forward with your life.

Why is Our Mental Health Important?

So what do we know?

  • Depression occurs in 40 – 50% of patients who suffer from coronary disease.
  • Depression is a leading risk factor for heart disease.
  • 25% of patients suffering from cancer also suffer from depression.
  • Patients suffering from Bi Polar have a 10 – 15% increase in a risk for suicide.
  • Homicide and violence is increased among those suffering from a Bi Polar condition.
  • About 53% of mentally ill inmates were in prison for a violent offense, compared to 46% of other inmates…

Alternative treatments for depression:

1. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy seeks to help people change how they think about things. Unlike more traditional forms of therapy, it focuses on “here and now” problems and difficulties. Numerous clinical studies throughout the world have consistently demonstrated that cognitive behavioral therapy is as effective as antidepressant medication. Within 20 sessions of individual therapy, approximately 75 percent of patients experience a significant decrease in their symptoms.

2.St. John’s Wort

St John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) is commonly used for the treatment of depression. It is available in tablets, capsules and liquid form from supermarkets and health food shops. Research suggests that it exerts its antidepressant action by inhibiting the reuptake of the neurotransmitters serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Numerous double-blind, placebo-controlled studies have examined the effectiveness of St. John’s wort for the treatment of mild to moderate major depression, and most have found the herb more effective than a placebo. It can be at least as effective as paroxetine (Paxil) in the treatment of moderate to severe depression in the short term.

3. S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe)

SAMe is an amino acid derivative that occurs naturally in all cells. It plays a role in many biological reactions by transferring its methyl group to DNA, proteins, phospholipids and biogenic amines. Several scientific studies indicate that SAMe may be useful in the treatment of depression.

4. Light Therapy

For years, light therapy has been used to treat seasonal affective disorder, a type of depression caused by short winter days and extended darkness. A lack of exposure to sunlight is responsible for the secretion of the hormone melatonin, which can trigger a dispirited mood and a lethargic condition. Light therapy helps to regulate the body’s internal clock in the same way that sunlight does. Light therapy is an effective treatment for seasonal affective disorder, and it may reduce the symptoms of non-seasonal depression as well.

5. Exercise

Researchers have found that regular exercise, and the increase in physical fitness that results, alters serotonin levels in the brain and leads to improved mood and feelings of wellbeing. Study after study has shown that exercise promotes mental health and reduces symptoms of depression. The antidepressant effect of regular physical exercise is comparable to potent antidepressants like Sertraline.

6. 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP)

5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) and tryptophan are also natural alternatives to traditional antidepressants. When your body sets about manufacturing serotonin, it first makes 5-HTP. Taking 5-HTP as a supplement may raise serotonin levels. The evidence suggests 5-HTP and tryptophan are better than a placebo at alleviating depression.

7. Massage

One of the best-known benefits of massage therapy is its ability to enhance feelings of well-being. Massage produces chemical changes in the brain that result in a feeling of relaxation and calm. It also reduces levels of stress hormones. Massage therapy lowers levels of stress hormone cortisol by an average of 30 percent. Massage also increases serotonin and dopamine, neurotransmitters that help reduce depression.

8. Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese treatment in which needles are inserted at specific points in the body. Research suggests that acupuncture can decrease or eliminate the symptoms of depression. A review of 8 controlled trials supported the theory that acupuncture can significantly reduce the severity of depression.

9. Yoga & Meditation

Yoga is an ancient system of relaxation, exercise, and healing with origins in Indian philosophy. Practicing yoga can alter your brain chemistry. Some yoga positions are effective in stimulating the release of endorphins and reducing the level of stress hormone cortisol. Several human studies support the use of yoga for depression, and yoga postures have been specifically shown to increase levels of the neurotransmitter GABA, which may alleviate depression.

10. B Vitamins

B vitamins play a role in the production of certain neurotransmitters, which are important in regulating mood and other brain functions. Folic acid deficiency has been noted among people with depression. Vitamin B6, or pyridoxine, is the cofactor for enzymes that convert L-tryptophan to serotonin, so vitamin B6 deficiency might result in depression. And there is some evidence that people with depression respond better to treatment if they have higher levels of vitamin B12.

11. Magnesium

Dr. Dean is the author of “The Miracle of Magnesium.” she, and many other doctors and researchers are clear that Magnesium deficiency is a significant factor in many other severe illnesses including heart attacks and other forms of heart disease, asthma, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, fatigue, diabetes, migraines and other headaches, osteoporosis, insomnia, and most cases of muscular problems…

12. Emotional Freedom Techniques

Also try emotional freedom techniques (EFT), an energy psychology that is being developed by practitioners all over the world and has the best success rate in actually curing depression. Please see the following sample clinical case studies in utilising EFT where the problem was cured in just a few minutes:

By LIM WEY WEN

A fuss-free, fun-filled way to better health and a happier life.

IT is amazing what laughter can do for us.

Earlier studies on laughter first suggested it could relieve pain, facilitate digestion and improve memory. Now, with more sophisticated tools, we can add these benefits to that list: it boosts our immune system, reduces levels of stress hormones and relaxes muscles throughout the body.

But science has sought to explain what we already know: laughter makes us feel better and happier.

Crop Circle Harmonics: Chladni Plates

Here is yet another post in reference to the post on Ball lightning, Orbs, and Vacuum Domains as I have already done on Remote Viewing planets and crop circles for fun, Crop Circle 9 July 2008 with Orbs, and , The Reason for Alpha Meditation. Why? Because this phenomenon of crop circles grips me. It mystifys me. It electrifys me. I’m drawn to it and I had heard about these metal plates being found at the center of the crop circles years ago in these books and TV specials and someone finally decided to publish a piece of one of those TV specials on Youtube. Please have a look:

I need to make an admission to you. I don’t know what grips me more about this video: The phenomena of the crop circles themselves or the closed mindset of the research going into them. Why do the researchers constantly insist that the source of crop circles has to be ETs?The mindset of some researchers so compartmentalised, it’s astonishing if they accomplish anything. They’re not putting 2 and 2 together. I mean expand your horizons by putting together all the related information that we know, then come a conclusion.Of course, these researchers do not see any possibility of humans being able to create these crop circles because they can’t see that ability within themselves. That’s called compartmentalising. But when we study an article like Collective DNA Consciousness, we begin to understand how the collective living consciousness of this planet is, in fact, responsible for the crop circles. You see, there are too many people who believe that they’ve elucidated all the mysteries of the universe when, in reality, they disregard too much information. The REAL mystery is the person reading this right now. The real mystery lies within you and every living being around you and our living connections to each other.

WE are each a microcosm of the macrocosm we know as the universe. As we can derive from the articles, Nature’s Mind: the Quantum Hologram and the Holographic Paradigm, we are all living pieces of the Universal Hologram, so we each contain the same information as the rest of the universe. By the same token, we also contain the same mysteries, the same healing connections, but on a sentient level.

Most people would prefer to believe that they are separate from the world around them, separate from other living beings. Even most religious fanatics prefer to believe they are separate from God, separate from Jesus Christ. In reality, we are all individual living aspects of the Universe. We are all individual living aspects of the One Mind of God.

I realise this concept is just too much to bear for most people. Most people prefer to feel sad and lonely, or special because they feel “completely separate” from anyone else. Most people should be self actualised because of their connections with everyone else. The connections are what most people deny themselves.

Unfortunately, this lack of feeling of connectedness is applied by too many people to the real world. This lack of connection causes the crop circle researchers to cry out, “Aliens! Aliens! It has to be Aliens!”

Culture is good when it’s in line with nature, when it’s in line with the universe. Here’s an excert from Collective DNA Consciousness that explains why:

..Weather for example is rather difficult to influence by a single individual. But it may be influenced by a group consciousness (nothing new to some tribes doing it in their rain dances). Weather is strongly influenced by Earth resonance frequencies, the so-called Schumann frequencies. But those same frequencies are also produced in our brains, and when many people synchronise their thinking, or individuals (spiritual masters, for instance) focus their thoughts in a laser-like fashion, then it is scientifically speaking not at all surprising if they can thus influence weather.

Researchers in group consciousness have formulated the theory of Type I civilisations. A humanity that developed a group consciousness of the new kind would have neither environmental problems nor scarcity of energy. For if it were to use its mental power as a unified civilisation, it would have control of the energies of its home planet as a natural consequence. And that includes all natural catastrophes!!!

A theoretical Type II civilisation would even be able to control all energies of their home galaxy. In my book, “Nutze die taeglichen Wunder,” I have described an example of this: Whenever a great many people focus their attention or consciousness on something similar like Christmas time, football world championship, or the funeral of Lady Diana in England then certain random number generators in computers start to deliver ordered numbers instead of the random ones (I believe this was random number research was by Dean Radin). An ordered group consciousness creates order in its whole surroundings (and induces quantum coherence on a macro scale – see Nature’s Mind)

Let’s take this concept to the next level. Beyond controlling the weather, beyond controlling random number generators, let’s have a look at this info from from the post on The Reason for Alpha Meditation:

“On October 24-25, 2007, an obscure comet known as “17P Holmes” suddenly outburst or exploded between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Astronomers still have no good idea why that happened, because most comets outburst when they approach the heat of the Sun. In any case, many of us who are familiar with the crop-messaging phenomenon saw immediately that newly-taken photographs of that comet matched a famous crop picture that had appeared at Garsington near Oxford two years earlier on July 15, 2005.″

If you’ve watched the last two videos at Ball lightning, Orbs, and Vacuum Domains, then you realise that crop circles are created by orbs or vacuum domains. Vacuum domains are self-radiant balls of ionised gas [aka ball lightning] that contain considerable amounts of energy. As the article states at Collective DNA Consciousness, when a living thing gets close enough to these orbs, there is a genetic mutation. This is exactly what happens to the wheat when it’s bent during the harmonic transformation per the above video.

(Why do these crop circles happen only in English Wheat Farms? Actually, they happen all over the world. They are most conveniently studied at English Wheat Farms because the farmers are very friendly, they’re also very interested in the phenomena, they make their lots accessable and the wheat captures the harmonics like a charm.)

Did you notice that two orbs are required to make crop circles? We need a separation of potentials manifest the energy within the harmonics that create the crop circle. Separation of potentials is like the positive and negative polarities on a battery. Universally, it’s the yin and yang forces of Dynamo Jack spoke when he would manifest his energy through Nei Gong.

Now, the harmonics. We all know harmonics from music. We can study soundwaves in many ways. One way I was introduced to studying soundwaves decades ago was on a Chladni Plate. Have a look at this video presentation by David Icke on the geometric manifestations through resonance of sound on particulate matter as it applies to galaxies, the planets, and life itself (In the beginning was the word, and the word was sound):

Personally, I prefer David Icke when he’s not so depressed about the way the world is going. When you lament about all the bad things, you resonate with that vibration causing further bad vibrations to feedback into the world.Basically, you have the idea now on how the Chladni Plates work; they demonstrate three dimensional manifestations of the sound waves using particulate matter. Now, you’re probably wondering where those metal plates came from that reflect the crop circle. Obviously, the same harmonics that go into the crop circles go into the plates. The plates have always been some sort of round, highly structured, diamagnetic metal like bronze, gold, silver.

In fact, a lot of metals are used by farmers for mineralising the soil. I’m not saying that farmers are spreading bronze, gold, and silver in their fields, but there is, most likely, a sort of alchemical attraction and transformation of the metals which are already there into diamagnetic metals by the energies manifested from these orbs. As you might know, diamagnetic metals are circularly polarised which attributes the round plates being found.

You saw the video presentation by David Icke. You saw that sound waves produce many recognisable geometries that we see in nature. I have to disagree with David that all of nature is created through sound. This universe consists of many types of energy which is always transforming from one type to another.

But it DOES make sense that the more harmonious shapes in nature are created through sound. We can see how perfect the geometry is on a Chladni Plate when provided with harmonics.

I’m going out on a limb by postulating that these orbs which create crop circles are scalar wave projectors. Audio frequencies can use scalar wave carriers. From the looks of the crop circles, it’s obvious that it works. What’s not so obvious is the origin of these orbs.

Orbs are created by people. Here are a few sample photos of this being done:

Third Eye Orb Spirits Who Open Your Chakras for enlightenment

Much of what we would like to believe is ‘spirit captured on film’ can be scientifically explained – from orbs to ribbons of light – to smoky ectoplasmic shapes – to superimposed film and so on.

But there are instances where spirit is captured on film especially in the case of the white spirals – rings of energy that tower in various directions.

Orbs at Grant Park, presidential rally

An orb is a transparent sphere of light that appears in digital photography. The scientific view is that in digital cameras the distance between the lens and flash has decreased causing a decrease in the angle of light reflection that increases the chance of catching sub-visible particles. However, there have been experiments using the same camera that have captured orbs where there were none moments before. The psychic community suggests that orbs are balls of psychoplasmic energy that appear under certain conditions — like extreme emotions or in the presence of paranormal activity. I have photographed orbs only once. Days after the death of my father, my four year old nephew was collecting Easter Eggs and was tickled beyond belief to find one in the mail box. . . we all were laughing and it was a moment of beautiful bliss. The orbs appeared around him and we felt it was my father and ancestors watching over this moment. So when I viewed these photos of the orbs at Grant Park I knew it represented the extreme global release of joy and hope that the entire world felt at the news of Barack Obama’s Presidential win.

I also know that I saw a picture of orbs captured over musicians playing Samgita Music. Samgita is the combination of vocal music, instrumental music, and dance, believed to influence the whole workings of the universe in Hindu Tradition.

Because of this belief that orbs are only mysterious UFO’s or ghosts of unknown origin, the google search is literally flooded with mystical nonsense. I’ll keep search because I know someone captured this proof. You know I’m a serious researcher. The problem is Google is catering to a mainstream of discursive thoughts out there.

My goal is to prove to you that the entire human race is connected in what Gerald O’Donnell refers to as the matrix. The matrix carries all the information of the collective consciousness of all the human race including every other race of living being in and around this planet.

The orbs are formed from this collective consciousness as you see from the example above at Grant Park during Obama’s win. By the same token, The collective consciousness of this planet is entity responsible for producing the psychic energies that go into these orbs, not only for this planet, but the entire solar system and beyond.

In fact, our entire planet is a “Chladni Plate” that responds to the overall social mood within the matrix of the collective consciousness. Overall, We, the entire human race in a collective effort can control our own fate through our social mood.

You know how I mentioned the Maharishi Effect in another post? That’s all we need to precipitate the wakaning of the human race. What we really need now is the raise the consciousness of just enough people on this planet. In turn, this will raise the consciousness of everyone else around us. You can begin by raising your consciousness through Gerald O’Donnell’s Academy or Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing. Try his free mp3 samples and experience the difference in your reality.

Thanks for your time,

Randolph, HealingMindN Medicine Man

P.S. Yes, I’m going to keep looking for that proof by sifting through all the nonsense out there – just for you.

Mainstream: The Healing Mind in Health Practice

Thorhallsson: Mindfulness and Equilibrium

New brain scanning capabilities assists researchers to map the human brain. Thinking and emotion can be mapped in specific areas of the brain. This is known as “neuroimaging.” Through neuroimaging, researchers have been able to provide neural evidence that mindfulness seems to produce a variety of health benefits.

Mindfulness is an ancient practice that teaches the individual to live fully in the moment with no distractions. Dr. Jon Kabat-Zin, who teaches mindfulness to thousands of patients, defines it as the “moment-to-moment, open hearted non- judgmental present moment awareness.”
Strong lingering negative emotions like anger produce a cascade of stress hormones in the brain that have many effects on the body.

Some of these effects can have a negative impact on the immune system. Recent studies have shown that a mindful awareness of anger and other negative emotions without self-judgment alters the brain chemistry in positive ways. Labeling the emotion and simply stating, “I am experiencing anger right now,” is enough to shift the neurochemical profile in the brain from a stress response to a relaxation response.

David Creswell, a research scientist with the Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) at UCLA states that the mindful labeling of emotions turns down the agitated response in the brain. He explains that many new studies show that mindfulness practices, including meditation, are “effective in reducing a variety of chronic pain conditions, skin diseases, stress-related health conditions and other ailments.”

During moments of distress, mindfulness behaviors help to deactivate the centers in the brain that naturally synthesize the chemicals that inhibit immune functions in response to perceived stress or threat. We practice mindfulness by becoming more aware of our daily activities; by being present in our experience. We perform such tasks with intention and purpose.

This is what the regular practice of yoga attempts to do. It teaches moment-to-moment awareness as the individual engages in a specific movement or still posture. The participant is asked to be aware of the breath and the sensations that arise during the yoga posture. It is the practice of smelling the rose with awareness and being fully and joyfully in the moment.

Doctors going alternative

More mainstream physicians suggesting meditation, massage and acupuncture

For years, Dr. Ali Keshavarzian ignored “alternative” therapies because his Western-trained brain wanted more evidence that they actually worked.

But Keshavarzian also knew conventional medicine often needed some assistance. And when he learned his patients were seeking out natural products, acupuncture, meditation and massage, he took a deep breath and dived in.

Ten years later, Keshavarzian straddles both worlds, using Western treatments along with a variety of alternative approaches, a combination known as complementary and alternative medicine, or CAM. “CAM is looking at a patient as a human being, rather than a disease,” said Keshavarzian, a gastroenterologist at Rush University Medical Center. “Instead of treating ‘ulcerative colitis,’ I treat ‘Mr. Jones.’ ”

The future success of the holistic CAM movement in the U.S. hinges on the very people who once viewed alternative medicine with cold skepticism: mainstream, conventionally trained doctors. Though many, such as Keshavarzian, still believe medical treatments should be backed by rigorous scientific data, they will not rule out adding into the treatment mix mind-body therapies that have been used for centuries in other cultures. Keshavarzian, for example, might suggest relaxation techniques when he thinks stress is a factor, acupuncture for pain or probiotics for acute diarrhea…

Integrative treatments fall into four main categories: natural products (vitamins and supplements), energy medicine (acupuncture), manipulative practices (chiropractic work) and mind-body medicine (meditation or deep breathing)…

Laura Restaino of Wheaton tried an integrative physician, Charles Dumont, a Loyola University pediatric gastroenterologist, after prescription drugs, creams, steroids and lotions prescribed by conventional doctors failed to treat her daughter Alex’s severe eczema. After receiving hand acupuncture (using pellets in place of needles) from Dumont, the condition cleared up almost instantly, Restaino said…

An increasing number of prestigious medical schools are teaching integrative practices. Since 1999, the Consortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine, a group that includes Duke University, Harvard and Northwestern, has grown from 8 to 43 members. With more traditional medical schools focusing on health care that addresses the mental, emotional and physical aspects of healing, the use of CAM by the nation’s future physicians is expected to grow

“Early in my career I felt like we [doctors] were missing the boat because we weren’t addressing underlying problems,” said integrative physician Steve Devries, a preventive cardiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. “We’d often tell patients after angioplasty that they ‘had the heart of a teenager again.’ But it was completely untrue. We’d bought them time to correct the underlying problem, but if we didn’t fix that then we’d see them again and again…”

One of the challenges of integrative medicine, however, is that it requires more of a doctor’s time (as opposed to the conveyor belt HMO system where a patient is usually in and out in 15 minutes with a new drug prescription). Critics say it also has a relatively small evidence base, but that, too, is changing. Though research funding pales in comparison to pharmaceutical drug trials, the National Institutes of Health‘s National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine has been increasing its pace of granting funds for CAM research. It has funded more than 2,200 research studies since 1999… (continues)

Neuroprogrammer: Brainwave Entrainment, hypnosis, NLP

change your mind, change your life

In a 1999 study, Thomas Budzynski, Ph.D worked with 8 struggling college students. After undergoing audio-visual brainwave stimulation, the students outperformed a control group and significantly increased their GPA.

In a separate study, Psychologist Michael Joyce used brainwave entrainment with a group of 30 children. After a short period of treatment, he observed improvements in reading and a half year advancement in grade level. Additionally, the children showed substantial improvements in attention, reaction and a reduction in impulsivity and variability.

Harold Russel Ph.D. and John Carter, Ph.D., of the University of Houston, did several studies in which they used brainwave entrainment to treat ADD and other learning disorders, testing IQ before and after treatment. Astonishingly, after treatment the subjects showed a consistent 5 to 7 point increase in IQ score! Read more…

Brainwave Entrainment’s usefulness is not limited to relaxation and enhancing academic performance. It can also be used for reducing headaches, ADD, stress and even enhancing athletic performance. Refer to the Benefits section for more information.

Neuro-Programmer 2 description

The Neuro-Programmer 2 is on the cutting edge of mind technology; implementing both old and new techniques to affect the mind much like an engineer would program a computer. NP implements the methods of Psychologists, EEG Researchers, Neuro-Regulation Experts, Hypnotists, Meditators, NLP practitioners, Buddhists and more.

One aspect of the Neuro-Programmer that makes it unique is that it targets very specific brainwave patterns which have been proven to make the mind most receptive to psychological change.

Everybody has internal problems. The vast majority of people live their entire lives in a constant battle with their own mind and their own behaviors. Many of these problems are so deeply rooted they have existed since childhood. Most people have simply come to accept their limitations or unwanted personality traits.

Using NP2, you no longer have to accept your limitations.

The Neuro-Programmer 2 (NP2) is an innovative software application for the PC, built to help you achieve rapid and long lasting personal change. NP2 stimulates Brainwaves while using Hypnosis, NLP and other Psychological techniques to help you transform your mind and enhance your mental abilities.

NP2 combines the methods of many different fields and disciplines into one easy to use program built to help you change yourself.

For example, one way NP2 affects the mind is through a neurological process known as brainwave entrainment. When neurologists first began to measure the brains response to stimuli, it was found that if light and sound stimuli were precisely timed to the electrical activity of the brain, brainwave patterns could actually be altered.

In turn, the mental state of a person could reliably be changed. As an example, someone who is wide awake may start to feel relaxed and drowsy when given a stimulus corresponding to a relaxed brainwave pattern. This has become known as audio/visual brainwave entrainment (click banner for more info).

Law of Attraction: Beware of Disparities

I would like to cover an important concept in the law of attraction with you that most people are missing: Do not allow disparities to dissuade you from your original goal. A disparity can seem positive like a beautiful woman who happens your way, but takes your focus away from your main objective. A disparity can also be negative like negative cash flow where you expect to see positive cash flow.

For example, I’ve been looking through my manuals on NLP and mind control on why a multi-billionaire would commit suicide. Have a look at this story from CNN:

German billionaire kills self, family says

German billionaire Adolf Merckle, one of the richest men in the world, committed suicide Monday after his business empire got into trouble in the wake of the international financial crisis, Merckle’s family said Tuesday in a statement.

Merckle, 74, was hit by a train in the southwestern town of Ulm, police said.

His family said the economic crisis had “broken” Merckle.

He was number 94 on the Forbes list of the world’s richest people. He had fallen from number 44 on the Forbes 2007 rich list as his fortune declined from $12.8 billion to $9.2 billion in 2008.

Merckle’s business empire included interests as diverse as cement-maker HeidelbergCement and generic drug-maker Ratiopharm. But he lost hundreds of millions of dollars, including company capital, betting against Volkswagen stock last year.

The state government of Baden-Wuerttemberg rejected his petition for financial assistance, and he entered bailout talks with several German banks.

“The financial troubles of his companies, induced by the international financial crisis and the uncertainty and powerlessness to act independently which the financial problems brought about, broke the passionate family business man, and he took his own life,” his family wrote in the news release…

I work for rich people, so I’ve learned a few things about them. To the average person, $9.2 billion is still a billion times more abundant than only $9.20 in the the pocket. The difference is rich people don’t think in terms of abundance; they think in terms of flow.

I’ll explain this to you in a moment. Let me show you something first. This is the closest I could find in my manuals in terms of a rich persona. This excerpt is from the ebook, Subconscious Programming for Maximum Results:

..Another kind of scenario may be when a person is born with a silver spoon in his mouth. This means the person is born in a family that is richer than anyone else in the community. This child will have been programmed from infancy to believe that money is the most important concern in the world, that nothing else matters in life but to have money. This child is programmed to understand the laws around money and to learn to grasp money as if it was their god. They are told in their programming to respect money as a weapon to achieve
greatness in life, and to look down on anyone who does not have money like the child’s family
does. This does occur in the homes of the filthy rich and is unfortunate because it leads the
child to accept the notion that rich people are better than anyone else…

This subconscious programming does NOT apply to Adolf Merckle. I’m sure it does apply to a few people considering the state of affairs in this world. Let me give you a better idea about Subconscious Programming for Maximum Results with this excerpt:

..Every person on this planet has the same capacity in their brain but not everyone uses it. If
we were to take a handful of people together and tap into their entire brain function, we could
brighten a city for at least a week. This is how powerful the mind is. It is just the choices we
make and the beliefs we were programmed with that separate us from successful individuals.

It is really the programming that we received from birth to the present that shapes who we are
and what we do. We have the capability to do marvelous things, but it is our belief system and
our faith that allows us to take part in some events in our lives or not.

Our belief system or programming is what sets us apart from other people. Everyone on this
planet has a belief system in place that guides their thinking, reasoning, and functions.

Whether these people take part in sports, have a trade, or are lifetime students, the origin is
the same. They got to where they are because they knew the power of the human mind and
they utilized it to its fullest…

Adolf Merckle used his potential to the fullest. If he did actually commit suicide, then the problem was the “space” he occupied. Billionaires think in terms of cash flow; they’re either in the black or in the red. Rather than be grateful for his abundance, he lamented upon his cash flow completely in the red with no way out.

Although he was still in the top 100 of the richest people in the world, obviously noone ever taught him that the lowest place in heaven is still higher than the highest place on earth. He chose to see the negative. He only chose to see the disparity of his economic plight. That is, assuming he commited suicide.

The reason we latch onto disparities is that we tend to forget that We’re all part of the Great Circuit of Life. Let me show you one more passage from Subconscious Programming for Maximum Results:

The Law of Attraction

Just as we have the Law of Vibration, we also have The Law of Attraction. The Law of
Attraction is a universal law that states that there is a cause and effect to everything we think and do. If we think about a particular thing, we end up getting it. Just as it is important to learn about The Law of Vibration, you must also learn about The Law of Attraction. If you want to learn how to attract anything you desire you need to set up an attraction for it. To do this, you must make sure your thoughts within your subconscious mind are geared toward what you are trying to attract. If they aren’t, you won’t get it, instead you will get what you don’t want, because your subconscious mind thought it.

The Law of Attraction is something that exists apart from you. It exists and therefore it is. The
Law of Attraction is a universal law that never goes away. You can control it to some degree
by what you vibrate to; by what your thoughts are geared to. The end result is simple, if you
reprogram your subconscious mind to vibrate with the universe, you can get anything you
want just by thinking it.

Since Adolf Merckle’s situation was precipitated by the worldwide economic crisis, then he was a victim of social mood. The Socionomics Institute has proven models on social mood precipitating economic and other world events and if there’s anything that rich people know in the Great Circuit of Life is social mood; this is the source of their cash flow and they understand this completely.

Adolf Merckle was too connected to the negative disparity of the present social mood, thus, he was attracted to the negatives rather than the positives in his life, so he ended it. In fact, a person doesn’t have to be billion$ in the red to experience this negative disparity. There are many people, young and old, who want to escape the negative disparities around them rather than change them for the better – because it’s easier than dealing with them.

In order to do that, you have to start by counting your blessings rather than disregard them. Focus on your blessings and the universe brings more of those blessings to you; that’s how the Law of Attraction works.

To that end, I hope I’ve garnered your interested in this ebook, Subconscious Programming for Maximum Results. It’s not a complete manual, but it’s better than a lot of manuals out there on the Law of Attraction because it tells you what you need to do straight away.

One point that it missed that so many others miss are the disparities. Even when they’re positive, if that disparity dissuades you from your original goal, just get rid of it.

I recall back in the late 80’s, early 90’s, I thought of positive disparities as “signs” to follow because of my “powerful” law of attraction, but that’s another story. Basically, if that positive is not part of your vision or focus, just count her as a blessing and hand her to the next person. Make those positives part of the Great Circuit of Life, so they come back to you as a positive flow.
