How to Defeat Toxic Stress: Peace of Fantasy or Reality?

Spread the love

The following fable has resided at Holy Life, HealingMindN for years because I believe it provides an important lesson:

There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace.

Many artists tried. The king looked at all the pictures. But there were only two he really liked, and he had to choose between them… One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror for peaceful towering mountains all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace…

The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky, from which rain fell and in which lightning played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all…

But when the king looked closely, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest.

There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest- in perfect peace…

Which picture do you think won the prize? The king chose the second picture. Do you know why? “Because,” explained the king, “peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace.”

I wish for you real peace…

I consider that parable as a moral or a lesson from Psalm 23. Spiritual fortitude provides us peace from within even in the midst of crisis. Although the above is fiction, to me, this is real – because real peace comes from within. In the middle of whatever chaos might come along, cooler heads prevail.

The following newsletter from The Unexplainable Store reminded me that there are people who think quite oppositely from this idea of inner peace.

For me, part one of this newsletter makes sense: When we feel constant stress, we have tension in our nervous systems, muscle and circulatory systems – and this can lead to improper circulation – which leads to build up of toxins; this is a precept of traditional Chinese Medicine. Circulation for health. Stagnation for sickness.

Part two, on the other hand, is another story:

In today’s newsletter we are going to discuss the cleanse of our mind and body. Today’s world is one in which stress and mental toxins lurk around every corner. To not only survive, but thrive, in this environment, it is essential to clear our minds of all the mental stress and clutter that these toxins produce on a daily basis. This is not something that can be done once and then abandoned. Rather, removing stress and mental tension must be done daily as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Everyone is familiar with the notion that good health requires good nutrition. Too few people are aware of the importance of feeding the brain with healthy relaxation and mental cleansing. This is what we would like to share with you today, and this is what Mind-body Detox brainwave entrainment will offer those that choose to remove mental toxins on a daily basis. You can find the Mind Body Detox Entrainment here.

Pollutants and harmful chemicals are a reality of 21st century existence. Additionally, our own bodies produce waste products metabolically. While it is indisputable that the human body is designed to remove toxins and waste, no living system presently known is capable of removing all toxins that it encounters. Thus, over time toxins will continually build and lead to harmful medical conditions if left untreated.

By analogy, this is not dissimilar to salt water’s corrosive effect on metal. A little bit of salt water that is quickly removed will not have a seriously corrosive effect. When salt water is not removed, however, copper will corrode rapidly. The same is true of our bodies if toxins are not removed.

While chemical toxins are distressing enough, mental toxins exist as well, and we have all experienced them. Examples include distressed thoughts, negative self-talk and job stress. These mental poisons all contribute to a deteriorating physical condition as well if left untreated. When mental toxins combine with chemical toxins in our world, the results can be disastrous. Fortunately, our brain entrainment alleviates both of these corrosive forces. Pick up your Mind Body Detox BWE here.

Once you experience a detox, you will know that there isn’t anything in the world that can compare to the feeling you get after a detox session. you feel lighter, cleaner and full of energy. Your mind is clear and focused, and even your mood can improve. You might even glow!

Above all else, keep in mind that this process isn’t meant to overwhelm you. It’s not about changing your life overnight, but rather creating the space, lightness and energy for great health, abundance and bliss to flow into your life.

As a holistic being, your body was not designed to be poisoned, worn down and compromised. You were designed for a healthy and fulfilling existence. If you are reading this and feel depleted, toxins are preventing you from living the healthy life that you deserve. We are here to offer the tools needed to reclaim your life. Please follow the link above and take this transformation and restorative journey with us!

Now, let’s discuss one simple step you can take that will make your brain entrainment therapy even more transformational than ever! As mentioned in the last newsletter, the world is filled with constant distractions and toxins that attempt to prevent us from reaching our fullest potential. Brain entrainment is designed to prevent that and begins to work immediately, but it is imperative to remove all distractions when you begin your brainwave entrainment journey.

Imagine yourself beginning your therapy, when suddenly the dog starts to bark. Then, your spouse comes in unintentionally badgering you about what the plans for dinner are. Naturally, the full effects of brain entrainment therapy will not be able to change your life. Do you know why that is? It is because the same stress, distractions and toxins in the outside world have made their way into your home!

It is essential that the home is a place of refuge and relaxation for a healthy existence. Homes with peace and serenity are the best ways to ensure that brain entrainment therapy has the opportunity to refresh you with its energy and life-altering capabilities. As such, this newsletter is devoted to the simple steps you can take right now to maximize the beautiful gift of brain entrainment therapy.

The first thing that must be done when clearing your home of distractions and toxins is communicating with your loved ones. Informing others that this will be a distraction and stress-free home is key to reestablishing positive and healing atmospheres in the home. Even unruly pets will have their behavior changed when you actively make the decision to embrace the home as the first fortress of refuge for serenity and peace.

Animals, like humans, desire healing energy and serenity, but like humans they can find it difficult to do so if their environment is filled with toxins and stress. You will be amazed at how calm the entire family and pets alike become when you make the affirmative life choice that your home will be a peaceful one. In short, the first step is to make an affirmative commitment to a peaceful home and communicate that to anyone that shares the home with you.

Next, you must set aside the quietest time of the day for brain entrainment therapy. Is that time early in the morning? Or perhaps it is late at night after the kids have gone to sleep? Whenever that time is, that is the time to let the healing energy of brain entrainment renew and revitalize your life.

At The Unexplainable Store, we instruct you that it is essential that individuals be comfortable and in a state of blissful contentment when conducting entrainment therapy. It only stands to reason that those moments come most easily in the quiet stillness, when the world’s toxins, stresses and emotional poison are furthest from you. Embrace your brain entrainment therapy in these moments, and these little moments of joy will reshape themselves into a lifetime of peace.

This lesson’s intent was to remind you that your home ought to be one of peace. This is the purest and most efficient way to grow during brain entrainment. Once you have made these meaningful changes, visit us at Unexplainable for more ways to enhance your revitalized self!

Reclaim the you that you were meant to be and stay blessed!

The Unexplainable Store

Not to rain on the Unexplainable version of peace, but let me ask you something. Please Compare the parable of the king’s art work of peace with part two of that newsletter. Which is more real? The parable or the idea that anyone can command peace in their home?

Obviously, this is culture driven.

  • If you’re a Shaolin Priest in a Shaolin Temple, then you can command peace.
  • If you’re a bishop in a monastery, then you can command peace.
  • If you’re a reverend mother in a convent, then you can command peace.
  • If you’re a nurse in a rest home, then (maybe) you can command peace.
  • If you’re a hillbilly with a shotgun and a hillbilly family in the middle of the wilderness, then you may or may not be able to command peace.

All things relative, if you live in the middle of a city or even a suburb with a family, chores, schedules, deadlines, neighbors and/or traffic all around you, then what is your chance of commanding peace in your tiny corner of the world? Even if you consider yourself “king/queen of your castle?”

If you want the kind of peace and serenity recommended in that newsletter, then you’re better off as a priest or a nun. If you’re a priest in a monastery or a nun in a convent, you don’t need brainwave entrainment and you don’t need to read this.

But, if you’re like most people, you want to find inner peace in the middle of the chaos provided by “civilized” society because you know that cooler heads prevail.

How to Be Peaceful in the Middle of Chaos

I’m sure there are those of you who have a solution: BWE using headphones at night just before sleeping. There are no disturbances at that time, are there?

But what about the rest of the time when we face stressful situations on a regular daily basis? That brainwave entrainment is displaced the moment you become stressed again. Does that make us “bottomless pits of woe” wherein we must constantly detox from stress?

Yes.

Entire industries are built around detoxing people from stress; there’s nothing wrong with the detox industries because they are mostly holistic and the practitioners really care about our health, mostly; that is, the ones that are not too money hungry.

But, What if you prefer to do it on your own? To be peaceful, yet completely aware at any given moment of stress? How can you have a cooler head at a moment of crisis wherein you can avoid real catastrophe?

There is only one person I know who provides this training: Gerald O’Donnell in his guided meditation courses from Probable Future.

At regular intervals, in tandem with a primal soundscape, Gerald trains us to relax in spite of whatever disturbance we encounter, in spite of whatever noise we may hear. In fact, Gerald trains us to relax further, yet remain completely aware of the situation, the more disturbing the outside stimulation becomes.

At every lesson, Gerald O’Donnell teaches us how to gain more control over our conscious state to the point where we even remain aware when we sleep.

Although Gerald has displayed cult like ideas with obscure ideologies during his interviews – and his initials seem to indicate a GO’D complex, his methods help us regain that control which is missing from our lives.

The tried and true methods include variations on upon NeiGong, Qabalah, and Transcendental Meditation. I practiced these before I found Probable Future; that’s how I know.

But you started this meditation notion with a spiritual notion derived from a religious notion – I don’t believe in meditation because I’m Christian – even if I’m stressed

For the religious fanatics who believe that meditation opens your mind to demonic possession please remember:

And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. [1 Corinthians 9:25]

As stated at God’s Names – In His Own Image (not Gerald): No matter what disaster or tragedy may befall, no matter paralysis or loss of limbs, no matter what unholy methods of torture or satanic medicine, a truly devout, born-again Christian can NEVER BE BROKEN and NEVER BE CORRUPTED AS LONG AS THEY LIVE BY THE WORD OF GOD.

When you, as an unbreakable Christian, decide to exercise your free will to pray, meditate, twist yourself into some pretzel like yoga position, or even sleep, you know that Jesus Christ was, is, and always will be your Lord and Savior; there is no place for demons or paganism in the unbreakable Christian who lives in the Greater Glory of God.

Some say that only Christ could meditate because he was unbreakable and incorruptible. 1 Corinthians 9 says ALL true Christians are unbreakable and incorruptible. You decide who to follow.

Even Christians feel the effects of stress, but only when we forget ourselves. “Green Pastures” and “Still Waters” can be found within ourselves, but only when we have that spiritual strength gained from disciplining our minds.

As for non-Christians, if you’re spiritually oriented, you’re still OK. Some of you might know from Collective DNA Consciousness, those of us who have religion are healthier than those who don’t:

Faith Heals

Reproducible scientific experiments carried out by Harold Koenig of Duke University show that people who have a religion, any religion, are healthier, are more disease resistant, and live longer than those who don’t. (See also the book by Dale Matthews, 1998)

I wish for you real peace.
